A gunman had to make a hasty retreat on Monday after he was disarmed on the Greendale main road in St. Catherine.
The Spanish Town Police reported that about 11:40 a.m., the gunman approached a resident of Greendale.
There was a confrontation and the gunman was disarmed.
He fled the scene.
A Browning 9 millimetre pistol, which was taken from him, was handed over to the police.
