This was confirmed by a senior police officer.

Radio Jamaica News understands that the victim was discharged from the hospital Monday morning and was at home recuperating, but started complaining about chest pains.

He was rushed to hospital where he was pronounced dead.

The man, whose name has not yet been released, was injured when a group of armed men attacked Beryllium guards at the Scotiabank branch on Caledonia Road in Mandeville, on August 25.

He was among five bystanders shot when the robbers, who were carrying high powered rifles, opened fire indiscriminately in the town.

More than $80 million was stolen in the heist.

One suspect has so far been charged in the case.

He is 25-year-old Dorrell Watson, otherwise called 'Stinger', of Hamilton Street in May Pen, Clarendon.

Investigators allege that Watson was the driver of the vehicle which transported the gunmen in the robbery.
