ExxonMobil Guyana says with the arrival of the Prosperity Floating, Production, Storage, and Offloading vessel, oil production is expected to increase to 600 thousand barrels per day by 2024.
The Prosperity vessel has an initial production capacity of around 220 thousand barrels of oil per day and an overall storage volume of two million barrels.
It was reported that returns from the energy sector are expected to catapult Guyana into the ranks of the wealthiest countries in the Western Hemisphere.
