Chairman of the Public Accounts Committee of Parliament Julian Robinson says the Health Ministry has pledged to strengthen its internal public procurement processes.
An alarm was raised after $174 million that had been earmarked for COVID-19 related activities could not be properly accounted for.
This was outlined in the Auditor General's report into the operations of the ministry.
The Health Ministry wrote to the PAC stating that it will implement measures to avoid operating contrary to the procurement guidelines.
The letter, which was read on Tuesday by the PAC chairman, outlined that the ministry will also take steps to recover funds spent on non-COVID-19 related activities.
Additionally, the Health Ministry accepted that there was a breach when it did not promptly report a $50 million cash donation to the Ministry of Finance, as required by the Financial Administration and Audit (FAA) Act.
The Ministry of Health said it will ensure that "all officers are re-sensitised regarding the reporting requirements for all donations in order to prevent any reoccurrence and will ensure that all cash donations are accounted for and reported in a timely manner".
