INDECOM Commissioner Hugh Faulkner and 'Beenie', a resident of Hayes, Clarendon
The Independent Commission of Investigations (INDECOM) says by next month it should be in a position to release its findings into Saturday night's incident in Hayes, Clarendon which resulted in the deaths of three persons, including two teenagers during a reported high speed chase with the police.
INDECOM Commissioner Hugh Faulkner says the weapons used by the officers, who were on the operation, will be sent to the forensic laboratory for testing. There will also be post mortems conducted on the deceased.
Mr. Faulkner was speaking Monday on the Morning Agenda on Power 106.
A third victim - 17-year-old Devonte Johnson of Top Hill in Hayes - died in the Kingston Public Hospital on Monday morning.
The other deceased have been identified as 17-year-old Janoy Blair and 20-year-old Kevaughn Solomon.
Four others, including two women, who were said to have been travelling in the car, were seriously injured.
They remain in hospital.
Protest
Residents of Hayes on Monday morning mounted another protest and demanded a speedy probe into Saturday night's incident.
The protesters lit old tyres and used other debris to block the road.
It was later cleared by the police.
Radio Jamaica News has been informed that another protest is taking place in Lionel Town.
The residents are awaiting an update from the authorities.
"We out here awaiting on them...and the officer says we can block the road with body not with debris, because if we keep blocking the road with debris we aguh [get] charge. So...if they don't come, we ah come back out yah with wi body come block back the road," said 'Beenie', a resident of Hayes in Clarendon.
