Jamaican immigrant arrested in Bronx, NY shooting

A Jamaican immigrant has been identified as the suspect in the killing of  a 19-year-old woman as she worked behind the counter at a Burger King outlet in East Harlem, New York, last Sunday.

The New York Post newspaper reported that 30 year old Winston Glynn was arrested yesterday.

He has been charged with first-degree murder and robbery in the incident which claimed the life of  Kristal Bayron-Nieves.

Although the Jamaican worked in the past at the same Burger King outlet where Miss Bayron-Nieves was shot, police do not believe she was targeted.

Investigators said the deadly incident unfolded early Sunday, when an armed robber walked in and pistol-whipped a male customer before punching a female manager in the face.

He then pointed a gun at Miss Bayron-Nieves and demanded money.

She was then shot.

The robber stole 100 dollars.
