The Labour Ministry has called a meeting for this morning to deal with the issues affecting midwives.
Midwives across the island have been staging a sickout since Monday over discrepancies and anomalies in their salaries since the public sector wage system was implemented.
Representatives of the Jamaica Midwives Association and the Ministry of Health are to attend the emergency conciliatory meeting, set for 8:30 Thursday morning.
