Desmond McKenzie
Local Government Minister Desmond McKenzie has urged parish councillors in St. Ann not to comment publicly on issues which could compromise the probe into impropriety at the municipal corporation.
He was speaking Thursday at a function to install Sydney Stewart as the new chairman of the St. Ann Municipal Corporation.
Mr. Stewart assumed the role following the resignation of Michael Belnavis.
Mr. McKenzie said councillors should "resist the temptation in continuing any public dialogue on these issues" and allow the investigation to be concluded "without making judgement."
