The National Meteorological Service is forecasting that Jamaica will begin experiencing increased rainfall starting Wednesday.
A broad trough, located in the southwestern Caribbean, is expected to move across the island starting early Wednesday morning.
It is projected that the trough will linger across the island until the weekend and will generate unstable weather conditions.
The forecast is for mostly cloudy conditions with periods of showers and thunderstorms, which could be heavy at times with occasional gusty winds, affecting most parishes.
Fishers and other marine interests should exercise caution as sea conditions will deteriorate in the vicinity of showers, thunderstorms and gusty winds.
