The 2-1-1 hotline, dedicated to reporting child abuse and neglect, becomes operational today (Wednesday).
Robert Morgan, Minister of State in the Ministry of Education & Youth, explained that the hotline, which replaces the 888-PROTECT number, provides an easy avenue for concerned persons to report cases.
The hotline can be dialled from a mobile or landline phone free of cost anywhere in Jamaica.
It will operate 24 hours daily.
