Workers at the National Water Commission are restive over the delay in the revision of their salary scales.
A steering committee was established last year to complete a job evaluation exercise and align the salary scales to the new compensation structure for the public sector.
That process should have been completed by November last year, but the workers are reportedly upset about the delay in completion of the job evaluation exercise.
Radio Jamaica News was informed that a meeting was held on Monday with the unions representing the workers and the Ministry of Finance.
At that meeting, the Transformation Implementation Unit reportedly gave a commitment to review the new salary bands and conversion principle of the workers and advise the unions by tomorrow.
The workers are anticipating the update.
