Former Member of Parliament Peter Bunting has been recommended for appointment as an Opposition senator.
PNP President Mark Golding made the announcement a short while ago on Radio Jamaica's Beyond the Headlines.
If appointed, he will become the eighth Opposition member of the Senate.
His selection follows the decision by Norman Horne not to take up his appointment as senator after he was recommended by former Opposition Leader Dr. Peter Phillips.
