Police probing stabbing of Cumberland High student

The police are reviewing a video of a student of Cumberland High School in Portmore, St. Catherine being attacked and stabbed by a group of young men on Thursday.
 
The 16-year-old student is reportedly in stable condition at hospital.
 
The video has been making the rounds on social media.
 
Investigators are searching for the attackers who are said to be from Naggo Head.
 
The video shows the boy dressed in his school uniform on the ground while being kicked and shoved by the group.
 
He was later seen stumbling across a roadway with what appeared to be blood coming from his head.
 
Radio Jamaica News spoke with Superintendent Hopton Nicholson, Operations Officer for the St. Catherine South Police, who said he was analysing the video.
 
He said Senior Superintendent Christopher Phillips will in short order provide an update on the investigation.
