The search for missing St. Ann teacher, 34-year-old Ruchelle Williams, intensified on Tuesday morning as concern about her safety grows.
Her family, teachers and the police have been searching sections of Brown's Town in hope of finding clues to her whereabouts.
Miss Williams, who is a teacher at Marcus Garvey Technical High School, was last seen on Wednesday.
However, she left home without her phone and other personal belongings which has her family worried.
Assistant Commissioner of Police Calvin Allen, head of the Area Two Police Division, as well as other senior officers, took part in the search.
ACP Allen said the search teams are "remaining very positive" that they will be able to find the teacher.
The Jamaica Teachers' Association (JTA) has said the Miss Williams' disappearance has added to the stress level of teachers.
But JTA President Winston Smith said the teachers are optimistic their colleague will be found.
In the meantime, the police have said a 14-year-old student from Marcus Garvey Technical High, who was also reported missing, has made contact with her family but efforts are still being made to find her.
