The security forces carried out a major operation at the Qahal Yahweh Church in St. James Wednesday morning, during which women and children were removed from the compound.
The operation was led by the Area One police, in conjunction with the Centre for the Investigation of Sexual Offences and Child Abuse, the Jamaica Defence Force and Ministry of Health.
In 2019, the security forces were met with resistance as they attempted to remove children from the property during a raid.
This followed reports of child abuse and young girls being married to grown men.
