St. Ann-based peer educator accused of molesting student arrested, charged

Radio Jamaica News understands that a St Ann-based peer educator has been arrested and charged on allegations that he sexually molested a minor he met online.

It's alleged that the suspect met a 13-year-old boy on a dating website in 2019 and developed a relationship with him.

The abuse of the minor reportedly took place over the last three years.

The accused was arrested last week after a report was filed with the St Anns Bay police.

The peer educator has been charged with four counts of buggery, four counts of grievous sexual assault, two counts of indecent assault, and several counts of sexual grooming of a child.

He's expected to appear in court this week.
