St. Ann residents call for trucked water

Residents of Alva District in St. Ann South West are calling for their representatives to provide trucked water to their community.

The area has been without piped water for several months.

Councillor for the Calderwood division, Paul McFarlane said electricity to the pumping station has been disconnected due to a lack of payment to the Jamaica Public Service.

Mr. McFarlane says he has held discussions with Mayor of St. Ann's Bay, Sydney Stewart, for payments to be made to the utility company.
