The St. James police are reporting the seizure of 159 assorted rounds of ammunition during an operation on Salt Spring main road in the parish on Monday night.
Police say they conducted a search of an unfinished building in the area around 10:45.
During the search, four 12 gauge shotgun cartridges, 34 nine millimeter rounds, six .38 rounds, three 7.62 millimeter rounds, 57 .22 millimeter rounds, and forty-five 5.56 millimeter rounds were found in a plastic bag.
No arrest was made in connection with the seizure.
