A man who was on the St. Thomas police most wanted list was shot and killed Monday morning during an alleged shootout in the parish.
He has been identified as Garfield Wright, otherwise called Foody.
It is reported that about 5:30, the police were in Spring Garden when Mr. Wright allegedly opened gunfire at them.
There was a gun battle and Mr. Wright was killed.
He was wanted by the St. Thomas police for illegal possession of a firearm, shooting with intent and wounding with intent.
