The Kingston West Police have charged a suspect in connection with the murder of a woman in Trench Town on Saturday.
He has been identified as 24-year-old Oliver Reid.
It was reported that the security forces were on patrol during the curfew when they heard gunfire on Fourth Street.
Cynthia Robinson, 59, was killed and a relative injured.
Senior Superintendent Michael Phipps, head of the Kingston West Police, told Radio Jamaica News that police and soldiers have been carrying out daily operations to find the individuals linked to the violence.
