Jamaica will have five medal prospects on the final day of the World Athletics Indoor Championships in Nanjing, China after coming up empty handed on Saturday's penultimate day of action.

National 100m hurdles record holder Ackera Nugent and Amoi Brown will look to add to Jamaica's medal tally as they commence competition in the shorter version of the obstacle race at 9:25 pm Saturday night Jamaica time.

Jamaica's other individual medal hopefuls on the third and final day are all in the field. Olympic bronze medalist Rajindra Campbell will contest the men's shot put final at 6:38 am, while Paris Olympics silver medalist Wayne Pinnock and former world champion Tajay Gayle will go in the men's long jump final starting at 6:40. Jamaica will also contest the men's 4x400m relay at 8:11.

Meanwhile, there was no addition to Jamaica's medal tally on day two despite the country having two finalists in the men's 60m hurdles.

Demario Prince and Jerome Campbell both ended outside the medal places with prince ending 6th with 7.63 seconds, while Campbell was 7th in 7.71 seconds.

The event was won by defending champion, American Grant Holloway who won a third straight indoor title with 7.42 seconds.
