Suspect facing murder charge for body found in hole last year

Detectives from the Kingston Western Division have charged a suspect in connection with the killing of a man whose body was dumped by gang members in the division last year.

Dennis McKenly, otherwise called 'Den Den', a factory work of Wellington Road, Kingston 13, has been charged with the killing of 26-year-old Andrew Cunningham, of Ramsay Road, Kingston 13.

McKinley has been charged with murder, conspiracy to murder, possession of a prohibited weapon, unauthorised possession of ammunition, preventing the lawful burial of a corpse and being part of a criminal organisation.

Investigators say on Sunday March 17, 2024, Cunningham was at home when he was shot and killed by the accused and his accomplices.

They later wrapped the body in curtains and a white sheet, then placed it in a blue barrel.

The accused and his accomplices then used a trolley to push the barrel along the roadway to an open lot on Reuben Avenue, Rose Town.

The body was later thrown into a hole.

It was retrieved the following day by the police.

Following investigations, the accused was arrested and later charged.
