Three illegal guns, ammunition seized in separate police operations

The police are reporting that three illegal guns and more than 30 rounds of ammunition were seized during operations in three parishes across Jamaica on Tuesday.
 
The weapons were found in St. Catherine, Clarendon and Westmoreland.
 
Two men have been arrested in two of the incidents.
 
In the first incident, which occurred about 5:00 p.m., the Portmore police said a targeted raid was carried out at a dwelling house on Wallen Avenue, in Braeton, St. Catherine.
 
A 9 millimetre Taurus pistol with ten cartridges was found.
 
Thirty-four-year-old musician, Barrington Davis, otherwise called 'Jah Sent', was subsequently arrested and charged with unauthorised possession of prohibited weapon and unauthorised possession of ammunition.
 
The Clarendon police recovered a .38 revolver, along with six cartridges in May Pen.
 
The weapon was found wrapped in a white merino in a black bag at an open lot on Windsor Avenue.
 
In Westmoreland, one man was taken into custody following the seizure of a 9 millimetre pistol with a magazine containing 16 cartridges and another magazine with five cartridges.
 
The weapon and ammunition were found inside a house at Black Heath Road, Georges Plain.
