The police say they do not suspect foul play even as they continue to investigate the death of a tourist at a hotel in Montego Bay, St. James.

The woman, 24-year-old Quintaria Roker, who lived in West Palm Beach, Florida, was found unresponsive in her hotel room Wednesday morning.

Assistant Commissioner Clifford Chambers, head of the Area One Police, said investigators are awaiting the results of an autopsy to determine her cause of death.

It's reported that Ms. Roker arrived in Jamaica on Tuesday to meet with a male friend she met online.

The couple booked a room at the Montego Bay Club Resort after partying for hours Tuesday night into early Wednesday morning.

It is reported that around 10 a.m. her male companion went to check on her when she did not get out of bed.

He raised an alarm after realising that she was unresponsive.

She was pronounced dead at hospital.
