The long-awaited trial of Quron Patterson, the man accused of killing attorney Clover Graham in 2012, is scheduled to get under way in the Home Circuit Court on Friday.
Patterson, otherwise called 'Q', had his bail extended Thursday following a plea and case management hearing.
Ms. Graham was a lecturer at the University of Technology, Jamaica and the Norman Manley Law School.
According to the prosecution, Ms Graham, who was also employed to the Legal Aid Clinic in Kingston, was taken from her home and then murdered.
The body of the lecturer was found with the throat slashed in bushes at Caymanas Estate, St. Catherine on August 19, 2012, hours after she was reported missing by her family.
Patterson was among three men who were arrested and charged with murder and conspiracy to murder in October 2012, in connection to her killing.
Ms Graham was killed five years after her son, Taiwo McKenzie, and his girfriend, Jhannel Whyte, were killed by men who demanded a ransom after a motor vehicle crash.
