Assistance is being provided to the victims of Tuesday's fire on Bay Farm Road in St. Andrew which claimed the life of one year old Namar Facey.
Eight families were left homeless.
Caroline Beckford, a representative of the Child Protection and Family Services Agency (CPFSA), visited the scene on Wednesday to provide support.
She said trauma counselling and other support will be provided.
"Every single member of the household has been seriously affected. They have lost a life and they have lost property and so they are in need of trauma counselling. The first thing though to do is to get them physically okay, so I know the MP has taken them up to the hospital - and I also accompanied them there - and they are being cared for. After that, the follow-up is to get them in so that we can engage in counselling interventions to help ease the grieving process, to help them through it," she said.
