Windalco employees continue protest action

UCASE General Secretary John Levy

Workers employed to baxuite company, Windalco, are continuing their protest action.

The more than 600 workers went on strike Monday to protest against the break down in wage talks between UC Rusal, the operators of the company, and their union, the Union of Clerical Administrative and Supervisory Employees.

The Industrial Disputes Tribunal, issued a back to work order on the weekend.

But speaking with Radio Jamaica News today, UCASE General Secretary John Levy rejected claims that the workers have defied the back to work order.

Mr Levy says the workers will remain off the job until the company changes its posture on the wage negotiations.
