A 65-year-old woman, Icadel Wright, a janitor of Berwick Road in St. Andrew, died on Monday after being struck by a Toyota Hiace bus in Crossroads.
The police reported that about 6:30 a.m., Ms. Wright was struck by the vehicle along Caledonia Avenue in the vicinity of the Nuttall Hospital.
The police were summoned and, on their arrival, Ms. Wright was seen lying along the roadway.
She was transported to the hospital where she was pronounced dead.
