Woman, three children placed in protective custody after house set ablaze in Mandeville

A woman and her three children have reportedly been placed into protective custody after their house was set ablaze allegedly by her common-law husband in New Green, Mandeville, Manchester on Monday.
 
A grocery shop was also destroyed by the fire.
 
The incident took place about 4:00 p.m.
 
Residents told Radio Jamaica News that the couple had a dispute earlier in the day, which had become violent. 
 
The man left and returned with a container of gasoline, which he reportedly used to douse the building then set it ablaze. 
 
The woman and the children were removed from the community by the police.
