The Monday morning commute for passengers travelling along the intersection of Molynes road and Washington Boulevard in St Andrew was disrupted by a brazen daylight shooting.
Preliminary reports indicate that two men were shot and wounded by a man who fired into a car at the intersection sometime after 8 o'clock.
Superintendent Damion Manderson, Commanding Officer for the St. Andrew South police, told Radio Jamaica News that the shooting victims were taken to hospital.
"One is more critical than the other," he said, with the more seriously wounded one already in surgery.
So far, no motive has been established for the shooting, Superintendent Manderson said.
Footage obtained by Radio Jamaica News shows a silver Toyota Probox at the centre of the crime scene, with what appeared to be a bullet hole in the driver's door.
A pair of black slippers was also observed behind the vehicle.
The road has since been cleared.
