Cricket West Indies (CWI) Director of Cricket Miles Bascombe, has confirmed that the organization continues to explore the possibility of the Sabina Park test match being under lights, while they await to make a formal announcement.

The West Indies will host Australia at Sabina Park in the third test from July 12-16. Bascombe also noted it’s not a situation where Cricket Australia had requested of CWI that the third test be a day night affair, as previously reported in the media.

Bascombe also clarified that Jamaica is not under any threat to lose the test match if the lights are not ready. Bascombe was speaking exclusively with Radio Jamaica Sports on Thursday.
