Guyanese fast bowler Ronsford Beaton has been cleared to resume bowling in regional and international cricket.
Cricket West Indies says the development followed an assessment of Beaton's remodeled bowling action.
His action was assessed by officials at Loughborough University in England, where it was found to be within acceptable limits.
The assessment was required after Beaton's action was reported back in March by match officials during the West Indies Championship fourth round match between Guyana Harpy Eagles and Jamaica Scorpions at the Guyana National Stadium.
It’s the third time Beaton has had his action reported and remodeled. He was first reported on December 27, 2017 and suspended in May 2018. He was then cleared in August 2018.
In November 2019, Beaton again failed an independent assessment of his bowling action, which had been reported as suspect during Guyana Jaguars' match against the United States in the Colonial Medical Insurance Super50 Cup.
He was then cleared to resume bowling in January 2022.
