Defending champions Harbour View scored a late goal to progress to the semi-finals of the Jamaica Premier League (JPL) despite losing 3-2 to Humble Lion in their second leg quarter-final match on Monday. Harbour View won 4-3 on aggregate.
It was the Stars of the East who came into the second leg with the advantage following their 2-0 first leg win.
They went ahead when Cristojaye Daley made it 3-0 on aggregate with just ten minutes on the clock. But with the clock ticking towards half time, Andre Clennon got a goal for Humble Lion to make it 3-1 overall.
It was 3-2 on aggregate when Roshane Sharpe scored Humble Lion's second, before the game was level on aggregate after Javon Smith got in on the act.
Harbour View ensured they remained on course to retain their title when skipper Ryan Wellington headed home in the 77th minute to give them the 4-3 aggregate win. They set up a date with Cavalier next Monday.
Mount Pleasant FC will face off with Arnett Gardens in the semis after they thrashed Dunbeholden 3-0 for a 4-1 aggregate win.
Leonardo Rankine scored a double and substitute Atapharoy Bygrave got the third for the St Ann-based team who cruised into the last four.
