Dorothy Hobson, a pioneer in women's cricket in the region, is calling for more parity in remuneration between the men's and women's teams.

Cricket West Indies (CWI) president Dr Kishore Shallow says the regional board is working to bring pay for both teams closer together.

Some of the leading cricket boards England, India, New Zealand and South Africa have agreed to have parity in match fees for their men's and women's teams.

Australia recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding where the men's and women's players will equally share close to US $400 million over the next five years.
