Jamaica record second straight win at Davis Cup tournament

Leaders Jamaica recorded their second straight victory in Pool "B" of the America's Group 3 Davis Cup Competition in Costa Rica.

Following their 2-1 win over Costa Rica on Wednesday, the Jamaicans got by the Bahamas also by a similar margin.

Randy Phillips got the Jamaicans going with a 7/6, 7/5 victory over Baker Newman. Blaise Bicknell ensured Jamaica wrapped up the tie as he dropped just three games in a 6/2, 6/1 victory over Spencer Newman.

The Jamaicans failed to close out a 3-0 victory as the pair of Jacob Bicknell and John Chin were beaten 6/2, 6/2 by Spencer Newman and Marvin Rolle in 52 minutes.

The Jamaicans could secure top honours when they complete their group matches on Friday against second placed Paraguay.
