Losing start for young Reggae Girlz at CONCACAF U20 Championship

Jamaica's Under-20 Reggae Girlz began their CONCACAF Championship on a losing note going down 4-0 to their Canadian counterparts on Friday.

The girlz, who are trying to qualify for their first FIFA World Cup, went behind in the 39th minute when Anabelle Chukwu made it 1-0.

The 16 year old made it 2-0 for the Canadians just before the interval to see the Jamaicans having a mountain to climb at the half time break.

It got worse for the young Reggae Girlz when Olivia Smith scored to give Canada a 3-0 lead in minute 56.

The young Canadians sealed the issue through a Renee Watson strike deep in stoppage time.

On Sunday, Jamaica will face the United States, who defeated Panama 6-0 on Friday and close out the group stages against Panama next Tuesday.
