Mount Pleasant FC and Cavalier SC will square off in the final of the Jamaica Premier League (JPL) after completing semi-final victories on aggregate over Arnett Gardens and last season’s champions Harbour View respectively on Sunday at sabina park
Led by a double from Trivante Stewart, Mount Pleasant scored a come from behind 3-1 win over Arnett Gardens in their 2nd leg to win the tie 5-3 on aggregate and in the process snapped a 15 game unbeaten run for the “Junglists”.
Stewart scored in the 33rd and 40th minutes, while Shande James got the other for Mount Pleasant. Deandre Cunningham had put Arnett ahead in the 15th minute.
In the second match of the double header, talisman Colin Anderson scored a double as Cavalier beat last year's champions Harbour View 2-0 in their 2nd leg match for a 3-0 win on aggregate
Anderson, the league's top goal scorer, moved his tally to 19 goals. The JPL final will be played on Sunday at Sabina Park.
