There will be no new teams for the 2025 National Basketball League (NBL) which is set to tip off the second week of January.
The new season was launched on Sunday with the Jamaica Basketball Association (JABA) placing a greater emphasis on getting the sport into primary schools.
The 2025 campaign will see 10 teams battling in 87 games over three and a half months, starting January 15.
JABA president Paulton Gordon also added that there will be a slight change in the format for next season. Urban Knights are the defending champions, as they got the better of Upper Room Eagles in the final this year.
