Keiron Pollard says he has no plans to relinquish the West Indies captaincy nor retire from international cricket following the team’s under whelming performance at the ongoing ICC T20 World Cup in Dubai.

Thursday's 20 run defeat to Sri Lanka saw the West Indies missing out on a semi-final spot for the first time since the 2010 edition in the Caribbean.

The Caribbean side, second from bottom in Group 1, will play their final  match against Australia on Saturday.

But, while all-rounder Dwayne Bravo has indicated he will be retiring from international cricket after the tournament, 34 year Pollard says he is keen to continue. Pollard adds that he’s well aware of the need for a new generation of West Indies T20 cricketers.
