There are positive signs for next year's ISSA Grace Kennedy Boys’ and Girls’ Athletics Championships going ahead, according to ISSA president Keith Wellington. However, it may not be with the usually nearly 30,000 capacity.
Last month, ISSA president Keith Wellington told Radio Jamaica Sports that it would be difficult to stage school events in the Easter term if face to face classes did not resume.
But with the government now moving to reinstate face to face school, there are positive signs for “Champs 2021” according to Wellington.
The cancellation of “Champs 2020” has also put a dent in ISSA's coffers, but Wellington says the plan for next year's event won't be driven by money.
