Thompson-Herah and Forte in Italy for Rome Diamond League

Reigning Olympic sprint double champion Elaine Thompson-Herah and Julian Forte are now in Italy ahead of the Rome Diamond League meet on Thursday.

MVP Track Club president Bruce James said they had to go through a rigorous process to get there. Both Thompson-Herah and Forte are also scheduled to compete in Doha.

The international athletics calendar has been severely disrupted by the COVID-19 pandemic, with a number of meets being postponed or cancelled.
