The West Indies won their third away test series since 2012 as they defeated Bangladesh in a tense affair in Dhaka on Sunday.
On a fourth day where 17 wickets fell, it was the Caribbean side which celebrated in the end, not just a 17 run win, but a 2-0 series victory. The Caribbean men resumed the penultimate day at 41-3, having an overall lead of 154 runs.
Nkrumah Bonner top-scored with 38, and Joshua da Silva made 20, as the Windies innings folded at 117 all out. Taijul Islam was the pick of the Bangladesh bowlers with for 4-36, while Nayeem Hasan had 3-34.
Set 231 runs for victory, Tamim Iqbal 50 and Soumya Sarkar got the hosts off to a strong start, adding 59 runs for the first wicket.
Mehidy Hasan Miraz also weighed in with 31 before the home team was dismissed for 213, as Player of the Match Rahkeem Cornwall bagged 4-105 to go with his five wickets from the first innings, while skipper Kraigg Brathwaite and Jomel Warrican had 3 wickets each. West Indies batsman Nkrumah Bonner was named Player of the Series.
