Wolmer's Boys’ retained their ISSA TVJ National T20 title, defeating Excelsior by 6 wickets in Saturday’s final played at Sabina park.
Batting first Excelsior posted a challenging 149-6 off their allotted overs with captain Michael Clarke top scoring with 79 off just 32 deliveries with 10 sixes. Alex Hinds, Nicholas Holung and Nicholi McKenzie took a wicket each.
Jordan Johnson then made a top score of 37 from 29 balls for Wolmer's in their chase and Jose Northover 28 from 31 balls, as the Wolmerians got to victory at 150-4 in 17.5 overs
Earlier, Manchester High defeated St Elizabeth Technical by 8 wickets in the third place playoff.
STETHS who elected to bat, were restricted to 116-9 in their 20 overs with Tyriek Bryan top scoring with 23 and Govasta Edmond 20 against Sanjay Walker 3-22 and two wickets each for Demario Hall and Barrington Simpson.
Manchester High then cruised to victory at 121-2 with Shaquiel Brown leading the way with 51 and Matthew Morgan supporting with 40.
