US television network ABC has cancelled comedian Roseanne Barr's show after she posted a racist tweet comparing a former Obama adviser to an ape.
Barr's tweet said Valerie Jarrett was the child of the Muslim Brotherhood and the Planet of the Apes film.
She deleted the post and apologised but could not contain the backlash.
The show premiered in March to an enormous rating of 18 million American viewers, triggering a slew of reboot shows.
It was renewed for season two just days after the debut.
