Akon
Senegalese born pop star Akon has received official paperwork for the launch of Akon City in Senegal.
The singer, known for the hit Locked Up, said the city will be built in a series of phases spanning 10 years.
Ground was broken on the 2,000-acre land last March.
The city will mimic that of Black Panther's Wakanda.
It will run on 100% renewable energy through the artiste's solar-power project, Akon Lighting Africa and use the crytpo-currency called Akoin.
