Pop queen Beyoncé gave viewers a lot to process Saturday night when she released Lemonade.
The "visual album" which aired on HBO, features videos for 12 of the 13 songs on her new album.
Of note is the song Hold Up which brings attention to the Jamaican music culture. The song, which speaks of her cheating lover, has Beyoncé occasionally speaking in Patois.
Beyoncé has been known to incorporate aspects of reggae and dancehall in her music over the years. She released the chart topping single Baby Boy with Sean Paul back in 2002. In the single Run The World (Girls), she sampled Vybz Kartel’s Pon De Floor produced by Major Lazor.
Beyoncé also has a remix of Standing On The Sun with Mr. Vegas.
