The song was also certified Platinum in the US last year.
It spent 29 weeks on the Billboard Hot 100, nine of which were at No. 1; and 17 weeks on the UK Singles chart where it peaked at No. 2.
The single was also Beyonce's longest-running No. 1 single in the US, until 2007 when it was surpassed by Irreplaceable surpassed .
Sean Paul's Get Busy and Temperature were also platinum-certified singles.
