Entertainment industry mourns passing of John Holt

The entertainment industry has been morning the loss of  one of Jamaica's most well-loved vocalists, John Holt who died on Sunday in London.

The cause of his death is yet to be confirmed.  Several musicians have paid tribute to the legendary singer.

"We have lost a legend. Very instrumental part of our reggae history! You'll be missed,” tweeted Shaggy.

Sean Paul  noted that John Holt served his culture well and UB 40 said Holt was a "massive inspiration and will be

sorely missed".   Holt, who was initially known for his career with the Paragons in the rocksteady era of the 1960s, had 40 albums.

under his belt and a reputation for strong live performances.
