Gospel Song Competition semi-final concert set for Wednesday

The Jamaica Gospel Song Competition's free semi-final concert takes place this Wednesday and promises to be a holy and memorable show.

Organised by the Jamaica Cultural Development Commission (JCDC), the spirited concert will see the top 25 semi-finalists from across the island compete for a top ten spot.

The event is being held at the Louise Bennett Garden Theatre at Ranny Williams Entertainment Centre.

Hundreds of entries were received from across the island from persons looking to become the Next Jamaica Gospel Song Ambassador.

Along with the 25 semi-finalists, the evening will feature guest performances by Jamaica Gospel Song 2018 finalists.

The Jamaica Gospel Song Competition began in 1987 and has since become an iconic presentation of gospel music in Jamaica and attracts scores of artistes, producers and writers of original gospel music each year.
