Jamaica's Miqueal-Simone Williams places in top 10 at Miss Universe

Jamaican beauty Queen Miqueal-Simone Williams is the latest to break the top ten barrier in the Miss Universe competition.

Williams and 73 other hopefuls strutted the runway at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, Florida, for a once in a lifetime opportunity on Sunday night.

Her top ten placement adds to the growing list of Jamaican beauties who have excelled in the competition in recent years, including Kaci Fennell and Davina Bennett.

At the end of the night, Mexico's Andrea Meza was crowned winner of the 2021 competition, with Brazil's Julia Gama second and Miss Peru Janick Maceta Del Castillo third.

The 69th Miss Universe show picks up from 2019 as no winner was named last year after the pageant went on a hiatus amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
